Why we don't get internet full speed ? What is different MBps vs Mbps ?
Internet speeds are measured in bits per second, hence the lowercase"b". That is 1/8th of a Byte. On top of that your internet connection uses some overhead. If you are getting ~80% of what you
pay for then they usually call it good.
20 Mbps =about 2.5 MBps
(20/8-2.5) so that is pretty much
your max throughput. If you get
more than 2.5 MB down speeds,
you are getting better speeds than
what the ISP is technically selling
you.
Remember, they advertise with bits,
not bytes.
